The Voice: 16 Singers Go Live

Last night was the final battle round for the first season of The Voice. We now know which 16 singers will be going to the live shows to fight for America’s votes. Let’s hope the voters are a little older than the Idol crowd. They should be since the singers are far more mature, if not in age then in vocal ability.

Without further ado, here are the 16 finalist on The Voice:

Blake Shelton - NBC "The Voice"

Team Blake Shelton
Xenia, Dia Frampton, Jared Blake and Patrick Thomas

Christina Aguilera - NBC "The Voice" Team Christina Aguilera
Frenchie Davis, Beverly McClellan, Raquel Castro and Lily Elise

Cee-Lo Green - NBC "The Voice" Team Cee-Lo
Vicci Martinez, Nakia, Curtis Grimes and Tori & Taylor

Adam Levine - NBC "The Voice" Team Adam Levine
Jeff Jenkins, Javier Colon, Devon Barley and Casey Weston

I’m on Team Adam Levine to get things started. His male heavy vocal team seems the strongest to me…and I have a not so secret crush on him. I like Blake Shelton’s team too. I really like Xenia’s smoky vocals and Patrick Thomas’ pure country sound.

I think Team Christina and Team Cee-Lo have the toughest battles ahead of them. Not that they aren’t all great singers, but I think Blake and Adam have more well rounded teams for vote-getting. There are a couple of singers on both teams that I think may be the first to go if things are based on talent for this show. Since it’s never based on talent once it’s turned over to the voting public, I’ll guess that there will be the usual shocking eliminations.

Remember that next week The Voice moves to Tuesday night at 8pm live on NBC. Who’s team are you on?

Here are my front runner predictions going into the live shows:

Javier Colon

Xenia

Jeff Jenkins
